Dynon Skyview Classic - Setting the clock

Ron RV8

Well Known Member
My clock is 12 minutes slow...

How do you set the time?

I thought it self corrected with the GPS signal...

The only things I can find in the menus are the ability to set 12 or 24 hour or the GMT correction...

Last year (2019) the GPS rollover date caused some funny clock issues.

Get the latest software update, and that bug should go away.

Ron,

Disconnect the backup batteries from the system, boot the SkyView system up and allow the system to get a GPS fix and see if the clock corrects itself to GPS time. Once done, reconnect the backup batteries.

If it doesn't work, send an e-mail to [email protected].

What to do after that

Thanks - I'll try disconnecting the battery...

GalinHdz is also correct. With the GPS rollover date, there is an update to the SkyView firmware to fix it. This basically is in regards to the GPS 250, and not the GPS 2020. So if you are still using the GPS 250, upgrade to 15.4.7. If you are using the GPS, still upgrade to 15.4.7. There is also a software upgrade to the GPS 2020. If you don?t know how to do that, email me at [email protected] and I will forward a good instruction sheet I wrote up on how to check the GPS firmware and upgrade if you need to. The GPS 2020 upgrade has to do with an ADSB error, that the upgrade fixes.
