Tip: A Place to Hang Your Headsets

One of the first things that I noticed on my RV-9a was there was not a convenient place to hang my headsets after a flight. So initially, I set them on top of the dash and after a while I noticed that the steel frames on my Lightspeeds were scratching the plexiglas windscreen.

So, I built two fold out holders and attached them to a rib on the pilot and passenger side. I move it out of the way during a flight. I have used this setup for years and found it to be very neat place to hang headsets while not in use.

Great idea, I am going to move the thread to Builder Tips, so it will be easier to find in the future.

Well done, Mike.

I fixed two holders onto the subpanel of my RV-7. The headsets are in the shade when the aircraft is parked in the sun. While the headsets are not really in the way while climbing in it seems that the fold out holders are a good option too.
