Wing Area

I need a little help from someone who can measure a wing of an RV-9.
I would like to know the chord, and the length, excluding any farings or the wing tip

124 sq. ft. per Vans RV9/9A specs.
28 ft. span
4.43 ft. chord

Now that is the span with the wingtips installed. Sorry, I can't get you the span without wingtips. Probably closer to 24 ft.

More Wing Area

I have Van's spec's on the 9. I was hoping for actual measurements of a wing: Chord, & Length of one wing, without any farings or wing tips.

Tom,

Measuring from the outboard to the inboard edges of the bottom skin (along the forward edge, just aft of the leading edge) I get 128 inches. Add about 5 inches for the bit of main spar that extends inboard. Measuring from the apex of the leading edge to the aft edge of the outboard top skin I get about 42 inches. Add 12 -13 inches for the aileron width if it matters.
