FWF and cable temperature limits

Hi Guys, Steinjager.com push pull cables are rated to 225 degrees. Is that ok for fwf in RV's? I trying to find a push pull for my RV4 governor that is about 37" long and they offer 10/32 ends for about 43 bucks. Vans is twice that.

OK from the standpoint of lower cowl air temperature. However, the cable issue is radiant heating...hot exhaust pipes, so how you route and shield will tell the tale.

I put fire-sleeve over the vans engine control cables (forward of the firewall). I suppose one could also wrap them with the reflective foil tape to deal with the radiant heating. My concern was that this may start to peel off with the constant wind and heat.

The max air temp I have seen at the cowl exit area is 174 deg F
