I believe AOPA, COPA, FAA, and TC are trying to work out an arrangement that would allow US Sport pilots and basic med PPL holders to fly in Canada and Canadian Rec pilots to fly in the US. At the rate our Governments work it will probably be a long time coming...only been over a year so far.
