I guess this is a good idea to post here so everyone will get the answer in general open sight. Steve may chime in, but does anyone know if Garmin is going to do Transponder-updates at Sun & Fun this years? Thanks, Yours, R.E.A. III #80888
 
Hello Robert,

Yes, we plan to perform transponder software upgrades at Sun-N-Fun for non-certified aircraft using GTX 23ES/33/33ES/330/330ES/35R/45R/335/345 transponders.

The latest software versions at this time are:

V8.02 for GTX 23ES/33/33ES/330/330ES

V2.10 for GTX 35R/45R/335/335R/345/345R

I don't see the GTX 327 as part of the models been proposed for updates...is there any chance that you might included them too??

Hello Bruno,

What software version are you using?

GTX 327 V2.10 software was released in Feb. 2014 and is the latest software for all GTX 327 units manufactured before July 2014.

GTX 327 V2.12 software was released in July 2014 to support newer hardware in the GTX 327 units manufactured after that date.

Older GTX 327 units may upgrade from V2.10 to V2.12, but there is no benefit to doing so.

In other words, if your GTX 327 has V2.10 or V2.12, it has the latest software and no upgrade is necessary.
