Oil temp sensor doesn’t fit flange

I have an oil temp probe:

UMA 1B3-2.5R (Garmin part no 494-70004-00)
It is part of the Lycoming G3X sensor kit.

The probe has straight threads with a crush washer.
But it looks like the hole on the oil filter flange is NPT because the probe will not go past the first thread.

The filter adapter flange is Superior SL2157-L

It looks like I have to get e different probe with the proper threads. But I can not find the specs of the SL2157-L.

Anyone recognizes this issue and can recommend how to proceed?

I believe those threads should be 5/8-18.
