GNS-430 Sidetone?

My wife tells me my voice is much louder when I transmit on the GNS-430 than what she hears over the intercom and what we receive over the radio. I thought this meant I needed to adjust the sidetone, but I did and it didn't seem to make a difference. Is there something else I should be looking at? I did ensure I was adjusting the level on the 3 frequencies specified by the 430 installation manual, and I did make sure I saved the changes.

Some intercoms have a sidetone adjustment also. You will have to look in the appropriate manual for that.

I had to adjust all of my radios and intercom to get them balanced.

Curious. Not sure how sidetone level could be different between her and you. How does it sound to you?

Thanks... I have the Garmin 240, which by default doesn't appear to have a sidetone adjustment. There's a jumper you can set to add sidetone for radios that don't have that functionality, but it's not set by default.
