Mystery plate nut

Any RV12 builders know what this plate nut on the firewall shelf is for? The one on the right is for the over pedal wire way, but I can’t find any reference to the one on the left. Just a mirror image with no purpose? Maybe used for the right hand drive version. It’s in a diabolical place to reach, so if it needs to be blanked off with a screw, now would be as good a time as any.
Ideas?

From memory I think I used it to secure a second wireway that I made to ease the congestion in that area. Those screws were very difficult to install.
