F-917 overlap

In DWG 23 of the RV-9
they show the F-917 overlaping the 904 doubler. That doesn't seem possible.
The side view and section N-N seem to show it correctly with the lower longeron butting up again the doubler. Is that how everyone has done this part ?

Thanks for the guidance.

Looks like the aft end of the 917 Lower Longeron butts up against the 904C Center Section Forward Side flange and the 904H Center Section Side Plate. I don't see anything on DWG 23 to indicate they overlap. Overlap there would prevent the F-9101 Gear Attach Web from lying flush against the 904 flange.

Here's are a couple of pictures that may help:

Overlaps shows on the outside

Hi Mike

The sectional view shows it correctly but the overview shows the 917 overlapping the outside such that the skin woulb not lay flat.
Thanks for the confirmation its butting up.

Now off to the joggles.

Cheers

I think I see what you are talking about. The Isometric View on DWG 23 shows the F-972 Forward Bottom Skin overlapping the F-904H Center Section Side Plate.

Cheers and regards!
