G3 sensor for Showplanes fastback

Need direction for what type of sensor for a Showplanes fastback for the Garmin G3 “unlocked” option.
Found a thread for a magnetic sensor for the RV 10 doors.
Any thoughts or has someone set up the Showplanes fastback with the G3 unlocked option.

Canopy sensor

I used a simple micro switch. Added flox to the latch rod to extend enough to contact the plunger. Works well.

That helped a lot.
I was thinking that a magnetic sensor would work better because you would not have adjust the contact every so often.
Would powering up the avionics cause a problem for the sensor?
Did you just do the front pin? I was thinking that would be all that I would need.

Sorry I don't know anything about magnetic sensors. I only have the one switch. I added a visual mark on the forward latch rod that is flush with the canopy rib when secure.

Micro switch…

I did the same thing. Put a single switch on the fwd latch rod in a similar manner. It works great and is easy to access for maintenance if needed.

Great idea with visual mark.
Now looking at an inductive sensor from Turck which can use a type of metal.
