Hole in firewall

Guys, I have a 2” hole in my RV-12 firewall for the UL engine’s computer plug. The wire bundle is about 1” in diameter.

What’s the best (approved) way to seal the hole and render it fireproof?

Thanks,

The most obvious way is with a piece of stainless steel riveted with stainless steel rivets. Sealed between with high temp RTV. I did this with one on my RV-6.
Used sheet goods and SS pop rivets.
I polished and rolled the edges But ???!!!
I had followed my 1990 plans as to cutting the holes for what I can no longer remember.
Ok it's not pretty in my opinion but had no choice
At least I can't see the repair from 10,000 feet at 200 mph.
Love these little airplanes and this forum.

I would make or buy a 1" split tube/flange in SS. I cover the tube opening with firesleeve and a SS clamp at the wire exit, which I think is good enough, but some prefer to fill the tube with 2000* fire barrier caulk.
