Carb problem?

When leveling off after a climb, my engine sometimes hic ups for just a split second.
Not enough that the wife notices, but makes me nervous.
Possible carb problem?
Anyone have any ideas?

The carb on my old O-290-D2 did that when I did an aggressive pushover, say -.5 G's.

The carb on the O-360 doesn't do it all, that or I've stopped pushing over like that.

I haven't flown enough with an O-320 to know if it is "normal".

Thus, this post it totally useless, so disregard it.

Noticed the same 'blip' in cruise on my O320-E2A. My mechanical adviser said the carb was a good starting point for the problem. The installed carb was very old (likely original) and lacked many SB's, so an upgrade to a rebuilt 10-05135 seemed to be a better than average idea. No 'blips' in cruise anymore. YMMV.

Just like Mike's, 0320 E2A, plane is on down wind and it hiccups on what I believe was an original old carb. I called Bolduc Aviation in Blane MN and replaced with - 10-52717 rebuilt. All is good today. Good luck. Call Bolduc and talk to Dale ??? 763-780-1185
