Tony, Wyatt dog was looking for squirrels but found none.

We did get him into the thirsty pilgrim event as a therapy dog and I know that everyone felt better just knowing he was there. Cathy has a picture of him drinking a beer too!

Here is a picture of Cathy, Skip, Skip's sister Gail and her husband Mark.

Cathy did get her oil change done in the most prestigious Hangar #5.

As soon as the top came off, Billy commented on her chromed rocker boxes! This prompted her to look in his hole. She might even have wiggled the dipstick tube too... not sure though. Oh those six drivers!!!

hahahaha

PS Vlad couldn't make it. He said, "Niet"!

Beer Therapy

Wyatt the Therapy Dog, drinking a little liquid courage before administering "therapy" to the group of RV friends.

Shamefully I did not take pix of the grill, which had yummy burgers and dawgs cooked up before I even finished the oil change, the hangar I used while Billy's RV 6 sat out in the sun. Also when I flew into PYM it was a bit breezy and forecast to possibly get much worse before the next day so John and Billy knew of an empty hangar for the night and within no time a phone call was made and a hangar protected Pop Tart all night.
As it turned out a pretty serious storm came through and having a hangar to guard the RV was awesome.

Thirsty Pilgrim

A sidenote is that after these friendly folks opened their hangar, tools, burgers, dawgs & Therapy Dog, drinks etc etc etc....we all went to old Plymouth, I saw "Plymouth Rock"

John's girlfriend Michelle came to the hangar and we all went into Plymouth where billy and his wife Beth met us at the Thirsty Pilgrim festival. Nice way to top the day.
All from an on the fly oil change. My request for assistance was answered and we got to enjoy new friends and have a little adventure.

Mark, thank you for the offer to stop in. I like grass strips and always enjoy stopping at new places. We will probably be making a bit of a bee line though as we head west tomorrow so we have a little wx cushion on the trip home.

Going back West

This morning we're greeted to a beautiful clear sky. Here's our planned route

Fly up the Hudson in NY, then our first fuel stop (planned) is LVH, lock Haven PA. Why not! Then maybe OXI, Knox IN, and finally finish off today around SDA, Shanendoah, IA. 1187NM for the day. Easy Pesy!

Cath and Skip,

Glad you guys have a great morning to travel!

Keep in touch!

Mark, Come on up to KPYM with your -10 for a visit! We will probably be around as this week's fall weather looks spectacular!

:) CJ

Last night we stopped in Red Oak IA. A courtesy car, a Super 8, and a great little Mexican place next door and life is good.

This morning we headed for Denver so we could say hi to Skip's daughter. We flew into JeffCo.
Today's short trip.

Going home

Finally, the wx lifted at JeffCo, the TFR didn't put too much of a kink in our departure and we git to fly west then south. Definately the scenic route of choice.

Thanks so much for the pix during this trip.

One question: Is there something installed along the forward rivet line of your wings or am I seeing part of the paint job?

Bob, her plane has vortex generators on the wing.

Cathy, grrreat photos, thanks for sharing:D

Memories!

Cathy,

Thanks for taking the time to post the pix! Your trip was a memory recall for me. Grew up flying in Massachusetts 19 yrs, lived close to STL for 4 yrs, and lived in PHX for 10 yrs.....great memories of flying in all those areas. Even have about 30 hours of Varga Kachina time in Chandler,AZ where the aircraft was manufactured!

Thanks again for the nice post!
