RV-12 First Flight

Ser. No. 120100, N12VZ, flew this morning at KGAI in the DC SFRA. No Blackhawk or F-15 for escort, slightly heavy right wing, prop pitch about perfect---otherwise uneventful. Thanks to RDAWG and Jetguy!!! What a great airplane. Keep popping those rivets, guys and girls. It's worth it.

Had three cameras and/or videos there so something should be available soon.
Doesn't require much imagination. Gonna fly it ugly for awhile---paint next year and gear fairings over the winter. Medicare dooes't cover fixing the ugly plot. Maybe a very dark canopy tint.

outstanding

Congrates also, to second JBPILOTcomments PIC's?

Lewis what airport are you out of? I am in KPTW but will have to fly off 40 hours. You should make it up to KPTW in PA and I'll by lunch. My guess 1 to 1 1/2 hours from MD to PA

Job Well Done!

Congratulations Lewis on your fist flight. Did it come off the ground as quick as I said it would?:D

Atta boy Lewis

Congratulations on your first flight Lewis, It is a great airplane you've built.

Liftoff

Sure did, John. Photo crew was at expected liftoff point. Flew past them at about 15 feet. And I forgot the flaps again. With just me in it, the sucker is going to be fast.
