Aft Canopy block

Well, I have received my finish kit and have begun working on installation of the canopy rails and frame. I am a little perplexed on installation of the aft slider block with the diagonal hole that the canopy spears into when it drops to it's final position. Any words of wisdon on installation of this little gem...it's a tight fit in that little depression...

This helps. In initial positioning of the block I was going to spear it with canopy tang and let that hold it in place while I drill the two holes from the front side, then worry it out for final drilling. The way the instructions are written it leaves a lot the imagination...
