I have a foldable/collapsible wire dog crate; I put it in the back (on a plastic sheet to protect the plane from doggie doo-doo ) and then unfold the crate and set it up in place.....works great. We had a couple little ones in the wire crate, one in the plastic crate sitting on top of it, and one in my wife's lap.
