Anti Splat Aero - EZ Oil Filter Drain

$10

...and you can build this, do it first thing after cowl removal, likely have drained filter by time to spin it off.

Rotate/ loosen filter 1/2 turn, punch/drill 1/4” hole close to flange, slide unit over and tighten clamp, rotate another 1/2 turn to place hole/drain on bottom, drain line in a bottle/pail etc , finish other related tasks while it drains. Works! Another VAF member as well as two vendors sell similar filter drains. My 2cent worth.

... and a 2 foot long plastic 2” drain pipe cut in half lengthwise works even better, and is way cheaper. Positioned below the filter, not one drop of oil escapes.
Idea found, were else, here on VAF :D

I keep telling myself I’m going to make this, apparently my memory is shorter than 25 tach hours because I always end up with a mess. Haha
