Kudos to Antisplat Aero!
I sent all 3 wheels out to them for their sealed bearing upgrade, along with balancing and truing. I was a little skeptical, but I’m happy to report that I have no shimmy in my wheels anymore. The nosewheel took a **** of a lot of weight (3.75oz) to balance it. It also wasn’t round. Unfortunately, the amount of rubber that had to be shaved off in one spot was so drastic, that I’m not sure what kind of life I’ll get out of this tire (it was a brand new Goodyear).
Also, Allan replaced my nosewheel. The nosewheel that Van’s sells with the kit isnt the proper size. I’ve never been able to put the valve stem cap on. This issue is well documented on Tim Olson’s site. Fits great now even with the cap on.
Anyway - everything back together and flying great! Had a little challenge getting things reassembled, but took a chance and called Allan on Saturday, and he answered!
