Icom IC-A4 Problem?

My Icom A4 when I turn it on always has static, as if it were always receiving but it does it on all channels. If i take the antenna off it quits. The squelch is NOT on open. While its doing this the busy indicator is on.

Any suggestions? I will try to call Icom on monday.

My Icom A24 does this when it is too near my laptop computer. Could something like this be interfering in your case?

I never though of going out of the office and trying. I figured it was toast.(its old) It must be picking up **** from the computers, wifi, ?

Works fine in the bedroom.
