I am working on planning out my electrical system and have a question to those of you that are out there flying with the big lycoming engine(angle Valve 200HP).

1. which Prop did you use?

2. Where did you mount your battery or Batteries?

3. How did your W+B. come out? forward in the range or back.

Thanks for the info

Ben

IO390, Hartzell, 225lb pilot solo, 40 gallons, and a PC680 in the back = 79.16, very near the forward limit.

PC 680?

Dan How does that little PC680 perform when cranking from in the Back. i didnt think that one would be big enough with the long wire run..

Ben

If you get W&B data on a specific configuration then you could easily make the changes based upon battery in back, bigger battery, etc.

Very true. Dan can i have your empty weight to go along with the station that you posted?

Ben

1167 lbs. The PC680 did fine, although without much reserve for missed hot starts and similar pilot errors. I've since replaced it with a PC925.
