VM1000 work with with Electronic Ignition?

I currently have a fully functional VM1000 engine monitor in my -8. I have dual Slick mags. I plan on replacing one of the mags with EFII electronic ignition (2 pulses per rev as I recall).

I can't find too much info on this older engine monitor. Does anyone know if I can drive the RPMs with the EFII tach output and if there's any electron jiggering I need to do?

This will need to last me 6-8 months until a full new panel goes in this fall.

No. The big square VM1000 plus a smaller OAT/CAT gauge.

Yes, the VM1000 will accept the tach output from the EFI. If you are getting either 1/2 or 2x the correct indication, send me an email and I can help you out.

VMC 1000 Vision Config

I just bought my first windows computer that runs Windows 8.1 I've installed Vision Config software but it will not open. Is it not compatible with Win 8? Aside from installing win 7 or earlier, what might be my other options? (aside from manual set-up) Thanks!!
