airworthiness cert. it aint like it used to be

hi all,
10 yrs ago when i got my homebuilt certified i made a phone call and a packet of the forms i needed was mailed to me. i have spent some time of the faa website and am no further along to get the forms i need than when i started.
how did others do it? is there a ''packet'' on the website you can download that has all the necessary forms? i can't imagine i could pick and choose forms and end up with what i need. did anyone just call and ask to have them mailed?

I used the EAA packet. Yes it is $20 but comes with everything and covers most steps

I did mine 2 days ago on line using the EAA package and I also watched the EAA webinar. The local MIDO has already reviewed it and delegated it to my requested DAR. No complaints about the New process so far.

Just use Mel as your DAR. He made the process as easy as it gets.
