Howdy!
I have an RV6 with an IO-360, 200+ HP, parellel valve. I've been way down the rabbit hole, having extensively gone through the engine cooling system to get the CHT's and oil temperature cooler. I've made great improvements using the advice on these forums.

This thread: How big of an oil cooler can you mount on the #4 baffle without extensive modification?

In my case, I currently have a Stewart Warner 8406, 6-row/single pass. I am going to increase the size of the oil cooler, and would like to keep it on the baffle. My initial research leads me to the SW 8432 or the Aero Classic 8001689 oil coolers which are 8-row/dual pass. Dimensionally, these coolers are about 1" wider than the SW 8406, with the other dimensions being the same.

I'm not sure how different this will be between the -7 & the -6, and I have no experience with these but I was recently looking at them for my -7A. They go behind #3 rather than #4.

Any of you flying with one of these?

Answering my own question. The SW 8406 mounted on the rear baffle behind #4 only has 1/4" clearance with the engine mount tube. The SW 8432 is 1" wider and will not fit without interference with the engine mount.
