Sunday dawned absolutely beautiful in Georgia and South Carolina.
John Sanford and family, own a big plantation near Beaufort, South Carolina, with their own grass strip.
Every New Year's day, they have a huge gathering for a noon-time old fashioned pulled pork barbecue and all sorts of old and restored airplanes and of course, several of our RV's, fly in.
Gregg Connell (airshows), owns this beautiful -10 that he let Gary Ward, Bonanza owner, fly left seat. Gary was very impressed:
John's brother, Mark, the former South Carolina governor, always attends and always the gracious guy, posed for a picture with us (He's the tall one):
The camaraderie, flour bomb drop all made for a wonderful family day, with kids throwing frisbies and footballs and whatnot, 'til it was time for me to crank up 'Rapid Transit', and leave this beautiful setting, with water right off the departure end of this one-way-in-one-way-out, strip:
My friend Dean Wingard, Augusta Taylor BMW shot these beautiful pictures and another 2,000 as well!!
