Autopilot suddenly doesn't work

The autopilot on our RV-12 has been great. Now it suddenly doesn't respond to HDG changes. Where should we look? Is the first thing to reboot the system somehow?

Do other autopilot functions work? Did anything change between when it worked and when it didn't? New version of loaded? Any hardware changes? Need more info.

Perform an autopilot calibration test. If that fails, inspect the roll servo shear pin, at the servo shaft.

Based upon the information you provided, it is more than likely a severed shear pin on the roll servo. Pins can be ordered from Dynon and replaced. After the first pin shears, the disk holding it has 2 spare holes for 2 replacement pins. Dynon advises not to extract the sheared pins, but leave them put.
