Oversize Piston/Cyl/Rings

I have an 0-320D2J with .010 oversize cyls ( nitrided) on a Penn Yann O/H. The Lyc O/H manual says don't do that, 0-360 only. Have you ever heard of this phenomenon?
 
Yes its allowed via stc for the certified world. and for experimental it isn't an issue.
