Default RV-3 SB00036 Repair Video(s)

Hey Everyone! Bill from HangarRatz just finished up the repair on my (horribly) cracked horizontal spar. Thought I'd share what he has posted so far. He has two more in the video editing pipe he'll be releasing later this week.

New spars, he added the doubler front/back for more strength, just started mounting horizontal back up on the plane. Should be flying next week if I get my panel finished in time, figured I'd bring the panel into the modern age at the same time since I was down. He knows his stuff.... the paint is dead nuts exact, stripe matches, very happy with the quality of work.

Default SB00036 Inspection method details on RV-3B

I am interested in your inspection methods, tools, and inspection results? I see that your tips are removable. I do not have that luxury.
Thanks, Ian

I have the same issue with non-removable tips. Though, there are some small holes in the ribs that you can access when the fairing is removed between the H and V stabilizers. I expanded those holes slightly and was able to fit this borescope in there. It worked like a charm.

Those were great videos. Clearly you chose a great guy to fix your plane!
