Buy whole kit w/engine or one section at a time?

How many of you took advantage of the Lycoming engine deal along with ordering the whole kit at one time verses buying one section at a time and then sourcing an engine (new or overhauled) when you got to that point in your build?

Why should you buy the engine togehter with the kit? It will stay untouched for a very long time... You can still take advantage of the deal later on. Just only one engine per airframe...

Vans will sell you as many engines as you can afford but you only get one engine/propellor combo at a discount per airframe.
