Tach drive seal

Does anyone know an easy way to remove the LW-14260 oil seal from the tach drive shaft with the engine still mounted in the plane? Is there a special tool I can make or buy to make the job easier rather than just the "rough"old way:D There is not much room around it to try to pry it out with something and the edge of the seal has a metal casing making it difficult to get behind it. Some type of puller perhaps? Any ideas ?

I have a seal sitting on my bench right now. I don't see how you could get out. It has a substantial metal ring and there is only about .030" clearance between the shaft and metal ring. The shaft is pinned into the gear that drives it, so it cannot be removed with the cover on.

Probably easier just to cap it and get an tach that runs off one of the mags or an electronic ignition.
