gsa 28 location RV8

I have seen a few photos of the GSA 28 mounted near the aft battery location, one on either side hooking up to the pivot point from different pics. What is the correct location looking forward?
 
Here is my pitch servo behind the battery RV-8A (hardware fasteners NOT complete)
