Any of you experienced builders see any value to the below tool? Or would you stick to the tried and true band saw. I realize it's your typical, hyped up infomercial but I thought maybe, just maybe it would have some use in the aircraft factory. I like the wall mount idea....

I just saw an infomercial on this item.

My take away is that it is a saber-saw mounted upside down. If you go this route, be sure the motor is well protected from the metal shavings that will fall through the table.

Another thought: some of the material that I cut with a band saw was fairly wide and long. If I had used this tool, the material would have bumped into the supports on the back end of the table.

The tool does look handy for small items though.
 
Thin aluminum is going to take a pretty good beating with the up and down motion of the blade vs. continuous down.
