D-180 EGT Probe Problem

I have D-180 with Rotax 912 and my right hand EGT is acting up and causing alarms in flight. The unit works normal most of the time but when it decides too act up it goes from green / yellow / red very quickly and sounds alarm. Sometimes I have to clear multiple alarms and then the rest of the flight is OK. Do I have a loose wire, bad connection/crimp, or is thermocouple probe failing? Another piece of information is the EGT for RH reads about 75F higher than LH EGT even though the CHT are the opposite and RH is about 10F cooler than RH.

Check your connection first. We always keep a spare EGT and CHT probe on the shelf. Easy swap out.

I took a quick look at the connection... is it crimped? Should I just squeeze a little more with crimping plier?

I re-crimped the EGT probe connectors and now everything is hunky?dory again.
