Sedona airport day is now scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17, 2017 from 9 am to 3 pm, info here http://sedonaairport.org/events. Includes the Sedona Car Club http://www.sedonacarclub.com/2016-carshow.html.
Normally a nice low key day, come and go as you please.
Also, on 8/25/16 the airport put out a note about reduced gas prices:
?In an effort to stimulate AvFuel sales, the Airport is running a two month trial promotion by slashing the cost of AvFuel to the barebones price of $3.96 per gallon. This is the price for both Locals and Transient alike so tell your out of town neighbors to stop by for some cheap fuel, buy breakfast at the grill and drop in to the lobby for a coffee and chocolate chip cookie.?
Finally, the runway is currently expected to be closed for 6 hours (6 am to noon) on Wednesday, Sept. 7 for final striping. This seems to be somewhat fluid, so if you are coming to Sedona in the middle of this coming week, I?d check notams but better yet call ahead.
