Cowling paint bubble

Waldopilot

I'm New Here
I have had my cowling (pink with honeycomb) professionally painted. Unfortunately on one small area of the top canopy the paint is bubbling when heated . The painter has tried various fixes but the problem is still there.
Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it.

Thanks

Ask the painter if he used only 2 part filler. There are still a few painters that use the old red clay stuff from the lacquer days (much easier to work with than the 2 part stuff). That stuff collects solvents during paint application that can't bleed out and when the paint absorbs heat, the solvent expands and you get a pimple. I wouldn't expect many pro's to use it, but you never know.
