Default The value of coils ?

I did the 2 coil thing on my -3 and it worked very well. Referring to the nice pic on the the previous post :

Per Dan H calcs, 1/10 gallon is more than the coil can hold.

A little dribble is really not a concern for me.

Why not just run the line to the high point of the airfoil then straight down and out.

What does the coil really accomplish ?

This is the way I did my 9A, the vent is on the outboard end of my outboard tants and vents to the bottom of the wing with 45 degree fitting. I have flow-through venting through my outboard tanks into the inboard tanks.

Built an off-plan RV9A with too much fuel and too much HP. Should drop dead any minute now.
Pending Repeat Offender - 10 kit is on order. TDI? Turbine? Stay tuned!

This seems to make so much sense - any idea why we run a tube from the inboard edge of the tank to the outside edge of the tank when we could do something like this on the outboard edge?

Default Works great!!

Did this on my 7. Works great. Terminated with a couple of my vent fittings from www.jdair.com.

Just a tip. It takes more tubing than you realize!!
