LightSpeed Ignition sensor

You can get an RPM output from the LSE box. No MP that I am aware of.
Dynon can handle the RPM signal just fine...the only drawback is that you lose your RPM indication when you turn the LSE off (during mag check at least)

There is a complete pinout of the LSE brain box on their web site.

Thanks. That's the information that I needed.

It's going to save a few bucks in sensors for EFIS systems.

Do you know what outputs are available from ignition box?

I think you can download the full manual from the LSE website. But from memory:

RPM as a voltage (0-5V)
Fake tach pulses for engine instruments
timing advance as a voltage
manifold pressure as a voltage

Just went through this as part of an upgrade to CS prop with already-installed GRT EIS4000 and LSE Plasma II+.

The LSE does have an output terminal and LSE sells a LED display with a switch that will display RPM, MP, and timing advance.

If you're using GRT, you can pick up the RPM but will have to snip a couple of components off the board in the GRT unit. Sandy at GRT can email you a diagram. I elected to continue using the pulsed signal from the magneto for tachometer input on the GRT. For MP, you will need the MP transducer and put the output from the transducer to one of the auxiliary inputs on the GRT.
