Tiedown Ring Stowage Nutplate

Found the ideal way of making these home made nut plates.

I had a spare W731 wing tiedown bar extrusion, I cut two 1" lengths then drilled and tapped at 90 degree to the existing hole for the tiedown ring to screw into. Used the thin ears to rivet to the bracket behind the seat.

I have tiedown storage nuts just behind the rear seat, but ended up keeping the rings in the bag with the tiedowns. KISS
 
Simpler yet, I store my tie-downs in the little receptacles in the wings. They screw right in and that way I always know where they are…
