Tying up everything firewall forward, I was looking for a way to secure a oil hose as it was too low, rubbing on the battery case and the breather hose.
And I could not raise it close enough to the engine mount without kinking the hose near the oil cooler.
At first, I thought about fabricating/bending some metal part to join the 2 clamps...
Then lightning struck...
I took a AN3-17 bolt, threaded the whole body and used jam nuts.
Voilà !!!
Maybe it's been done before or I saw this elsewhere long time ago, but I was very happy about my out of the blue idea.
It's simple and it works. :cool:
(the ignition cables are not yet secured in this pic)

Good "out of the box" thinking.

As an alternative, a tubing spacer would also work. Lot less trouble than threading the bolt, I suspect.

Ah yes...
quicker to cut a spacer than threading a bolt... ;)
but a pain to installl??
Adel are a pain in general, even with the small vise-grips... :eek:
