Intake Runner Tang

Is there any possible use for the circled tangs on the 912ULS intake runner on the RV12? I’m tempted to grind them down flat. During Condition Inspection I replaced the fuel lines with teflon and found the old line damaged from rubbing on that intake runner tang..

Definitely check your lines where they cross those tangs! My new line is tied back away from from those tangs, but the OCD part of me just wants to grind them off.

I use that standoff to support the hoses. A short piece of aluminum tube is made to fit inside the standoff. Then a zip tie is put through that tube, and through a short piece 1/2" of fuel hose and wrapped around the hoses.
