System32 EFII ... Dynon HDX & RPM

Hey, anyone use the System32 EFII ignition with the Dynon HDX?

I am having an issue with no RPM indication (looks like no signal to the HDX)

What wire/Pin are you connecting the EFII output (green wire) to? Standard RPM? Low Voltage RPM input?

Last gremlin to track down ... at least for now!

Cheers

#32 White/Green Standard RPM Input Left (10+ volts)

Bill, I admit not flying yet, and engine not tested also.
I connected mine to the #32 white/green wire, Standard RPM left

Where did you connect your System 32 output wire?

Same. The output from the EFII is the green wire. GRN to GRN/WHT. Seems pretty straightforward. I also checked the serial setup to ensure it was called "RPM" at the right pin... check.

So now I'm chasing wires to look for a pushed out pin or something like that.

More to come ...

Final report

The solution turned out not to be on the Dynon side, but the FlyEFII side.

The FlyEFII ECU box #1 was not putting out a signal at the green "tach" wire. Robert from FlyEFII said that I may have fried a transistor by applying power to the tach wire sometime in the past... I don't think so, but. He said I could tap the same lead from the other ECU (#2) and get the tach signal. Soldered a new wire to the pin (under the dash standing on my head) and connected it to the PIN32 wire on the Dynon (Wht/Grn wire) and problem solved. This was a pain. Thanks for all your inputs.
