Pelton approved!

Today I was honored to have Jack Pelton visit Spruce Creek and my radial RV-8 project. He was in town for the NBAA convention and was nice enough to take time out of his busy schedule to visit our EAA chapter 288.
My impression of Mr. Pelton was one of an informed leader. To put it simply, guys, he gets us! First off he actually knew of my project!?!? He knew of supplier issues that I've had. He was knowledgable and informed about home building. Basically, he spoke our language. The reason is simple, he is one of us. He is currently building an airplane and is experiencing everything that we do in our journey towards a safe, and flyable aircraft.
He left my hangar leaving me very impressed. We need to get behind Mr. Pelton and support him as a leader. He is listening to us, and does care about what we do. Now back to work!

+1 -- Jack is indeed a leader, but more importantly IMHO the EAA is why we are able to build in the first place. I believe in them enough that I became a lifer.

Brian, every time I see your radial, I marvel at how cool it is. Keep working on it. I can't wait to see it flying.

Hey Mike, good to see you posting!

Thanks guys! It's been a fun road so far. As soon as I have the prop and EFIS panel I'm ready for flight. The list of little things (i.e. the other 90%) is getting smaller by the day!
