Vans Tach Transducer output

I have a Vans tach transducer installed on my O-320. I see in another older Dynon post that it was believe to generate 1 Pulse per rotation. I am seeing about 4 times the real RPM with a single pulse per rotation (PPR) setting in my Skyview. Have you found a need to set the PPR higher, maybe 4, for the Vans transducer with the Skyview EMS?

Yes, they do that

I am test flying an RV-9 now with the Dynon and have set the pulses to 4 and it is accurate.

Yes, 4 works

As I recall when I was calibrating my setup, the output of the Vans transducer is 8 pulses per revolution of the unit. The accessory drive runs at half engine speed, thus you set the input to look at 4 pulses per second.
