Calibrating Vans Fuel gauges

Is there a way to calibrate the vans steam fuel gauges? I replaced my senders, used the same float wire, and ensured the travel limits are correct. The gauges read empty properly. They read 2.5 gal properly, but then jump up to 10 gal when I have added 5. The same gauges with the old senders were reasonable accurate.

for the most part they cannot be reliably calibrated due to the shape of the tank. the senders are on a linear scale, but the volume of the tank is not linear. so they basically work fine at zero and full. mine were even worse when I went to the skyview. it can be done with a capacitance type setup by varying the shape of the plate to account for the change in capacity due to shape of the tank.

what the match meter does is digitally maps the tank to get a linear output that then reflects the shape of the tank.
