I Need a Picture

Stein's pushing remote transponder and audio panel on a G3X 7" Touch Portrait for my next panel. I've been using a 7" G3X non-touch as a PFD for ten years for a remote transponder and screen damage is minimal since there are soft keys for most commands. You always have the AH and usually the DG presented.

I'd appreciate seeing the 7" portrait touch EFIS used as a PFD, and what part of the screen is obliterated when you need to manipulate the remotes. GPS presentation will be a stand-alone GPS 760.

Also, is it possible to wipe out the horizon with errant touching or digging through menus? That would be unacceptable in a PFD in my not-so-humble opinion.

Another recent thread started with touch v. non-touch. Touch can be a genuine PITA. It has its conveniences, limited, but I've never cussed buttons and knobs like I can cuss out a touch screen.
