Austin Layover Satuday Aug 1, 2015

Does anybody know of anything interesting going on in the area on Saturday. I have a 30 hr. layover and am looking for a reason to rent a car and get out of downtown unless I should stay downtown for some reason.

Aside from great food and even better live music on every corner I can't think of a reason to stay downtown.

Of course you could rent a car and drive out to Lake Travis and enjoy a cold one at The Oasis. Or stop in at the Broken Spoke for chicken fried steak.

Doesn't matter which way you choose, Austin is a great layover.

It's going to be hot...

Lots of stuff to do around Austin. Lake Travis, the hill country, wineries, etc.
