Front Seat Belt Hanger Ideas?

Hi Guys,

with my 10 done, I am looking for ideas how to keep those front shoulder seat belts neat and tiddy in the cocpit when you stow them away to aid passengers and yourself getting in and out of the airplane.

Without hangers the are in the way of everything...

Mind sharing your innovations and ideas?

Kind Regards
Rudi

My diy solution: I had a few threads showing on the screws that hold the aft door hinges. I found some nylon spacers, tapped them 10-32, screwed them onto the end of the hinge screws. Cut a piece of aluminum about 4" x 1+", used short screws to mount it to the spacers. Bent the aluminum so it's "downhill" when you slide the strap over it, so it won't fall off on its own.

Sorry I don't have a photo.

Here's a DIY hanger solution

I took two pieces of sheet and bent them into hangars as shown in the photos.

I first tried .025" sheet stock. It was very easy to work with but just barely strong enough to hold the belts properly. I suggest using slightly thicker stock - I guess I used .035"?? in the end and it works very well.

The bends were made with my hands, some dowel rod, and a mallet. Nothing special.

I used blind nuts in the FG ceiling (Rivnuts?)

Total cost: a raid of my scrap box and hardware drawer.

Good Luck.
