Emp Skin Stiffeners

HI All, I have notice on a few sites" rob and randys" the skin stiffeners on the skin for the emp look as if they have the cut angles coming down on each other rather then the angle being on across from each other to form a box at the T.E. as the plans show.Do you want the flange on the same side for each? our have flange of stiffeners across from one another our does it matter? any input? Thanks Jim

It doesnt matter where the flanges of the stiffeners are in relation to each other. You want to make sure that the stiffeners on the bottom skin do not interfere with the stiffeners on the top skin when you go to make the trailing edge bend. Also, make sure you cut enough off of the stiffeners near the trailing edge. Otherwise they will cause little bumps to form in the skin after you make the trailing edge bend. Good luck.

I'm sure this is obvious but keep the stiffener flanges opposite between top and bottom of skin.
