MGL FF4 Vega fuel gauge and sloshing

Just installed the MGL Vega fuel gauge and I have resistive type floats. On my test flight to day the gauge was too sensitive constantly fluctuating up-and-down in response to every turn or gust of wind. Is there a way to adjust the gauges to be less sensitive?

The tank setup menu has "tank filter" where you can set the damping factor low medium or high. Page 10 of the manual.
