Poster child

The guy that designed our paint scheme is a graphic designer in the Bay area, he is an active EAAer and Lancair Legacy builder/flyer. He designs the advertising poster for the Golden West Fly-in every year and does such a nice job that they print/sell 1000 or so signed and numbered prints. The artwork also ends up on the fly-in t-shirts. This year the theme is RV aircraft, and as our plane had just emerged from the paint shop with the scheme he designed, he asked/offered to use it for the poster. We were flattered. His name is Don Barnes and his website is Lancairlegacy*dot*com. Here is our RV8 fastback shooting down a couple of Lancairs

I've seen the poster in "sport aviation". Up until now, I always thought that it was a poster of a Sonerai IIL.

By the way, that fastback 8 is absolutely beautiful.
